Essence Soft Touch Mousse Make-up

I've never tried any mousse foundations before. I have always use liquid foundations, powders or my BB creams because it's easy to apply and more convenient to use, I guess. But I'm always open to try new things.

Then my mom got me products from Essence brand when she was in Austria. My first one to review is the Essence Soft Touch Mousse Make-up, I got the 02 matt beige and 03 matt honey shade. I was very curious about having them and excited to try immediately at the same time.

The texture is in mousse type, soft and a bit velvety. It gives a silky soft touch of the skin and natural matte finish. It blends quite well on my skin. The coverage is light to medium  and feels very lightweight. It evens out the skintone and conceal blemishes but doesn't cover up completely, I still use my concealer for a flawless look.

03 matt honey
The shade of Matt Beige is lighter from Matt Honey. At first, I thought matt beige would be too light for my skin but as I was blending the product on my skin it blends perfectly on my color. But still, I didn't worry about matt honey because I can use it for contouring. It really blends well! But applying or layering to much can make you look "orange", so you need to be careful in doing so.

Regarding my skin type as of now, its normal to combination skin. If your skin is dry, I suggest you moisturize your skin very well as it may settle on fine lines/wrinkles. And for oily type skins, a face primer might help a lot for the longevity of this product.  I've been using these for 3 weeks now, it lasts up to 3-4 hours and up till now, I don't see any signs of breakouts on my face.

SWATCH:   Matt Beige    &   Matt Honey
The downside of this is the packaging, by getting the product you'll have to dip your finger/brush from the jar which can be unsanitary especially dipping it repeatedly with unwashed finger/brush. It also has a small plastic scent which everyone may not like but it fades away after a few seconds after applying.

I'm using my duo fiber brush for application, it picks just the right amount to work with. You need to blend it real well and a little amount goes a long way. Don't apply too much as it may become "cakey" on your face.
with matt beige and true match concealer
Repurchase? Maybe. :) If it'll ever be available in the Philippines or by any chance see them in stores in Malaysia or Singapore. I want to check them out myself :p
