Smashbox Photo Finish Primers

I don't usually use face primer on daily basis, I saved it for special events. My makeup usually lasts for at least 6-8 hours, depending if I'm staying indoor or outdoor. I have normal to combination skin with few redness around the face. I have large pores around the nose area. That's mostly where I put primer for smooth application of foundation.

Few months back, my generous aunt asked me if I wanted something from Smashbox because she's currently there and doing some shopping. Of course, I knew Smashbox is known for their Photo Finish Primers and I haven't tried any primer from their brand. I asked my aunt for 1 Photo Finish Primer only but she's so kind-hearted that she gave me 2 different kind of primers. Lucky me! ^_^ Thank you Tita Menchie!

What it does:
This revolutionary formula not only visibly reduces the appearance of lines and pores while creating the perfect canvass, it helps diminish the appearance of dark spots and uneven skintone. This formula instantly brightens and primes to smooth the appearance of fine lines and pores, while also fading dark spots overtime.

  What it does:
This revolutionary lightweight, oil-free, skin-perfecting primer formula can be worn alone or under foundation to increase its longevity. This silky blend of antioxidants, vitamins A and E, and soothing botanicals, like soy, lemongrass, and orchid complex rejuvenates and refines.

Apricot-toned to even out skintone and specifically counteract dark spots including brown spots.

*****

Out of the 2 variant primers, I usually use the dark spot correcting and the color correcting blend on clients. Honestly, I have doubts on what they claims, but 1 thing for sure that it helps smooth out fine lines and open pores. It helps foundations glide smoothly on the face. Though it doesn't cover the blemishes or dark spots, my trusted concealers and corrector can do that part.

It has that velvety feeling and feels lightweight on the face when applied. And this has not caused me to break out or irritate my skin. I like their squeeze tube type packaging, easy to control to squirt out products and travel friendly too! They even made sure that the package is secured and not used for trial by putting a seal of the tip.

Repurchase? Maybe not. I still love my Inglot Face Primer which alsmost have the same price. These costs P1,900 each at Smashbox outlets.

Have a nice day! =)

  2. I have a Smashbox Photo Finish primer too but I have the transparent one (I can't remember what it does exactly and I'm at the office so I can't check it). I haven't used that one much but I do think it works well in prolonging makeup and making the face smooth. So I do agree with what you posted but just like you, I do think I've tried other primers that I love more than this one.
