Maybelline Super BB Cream [ Mineral Guard Filter ]
Hello there! I'm really starting to love Maybelline products lately from their lipstick, gel/liquid eyeliners, foundation and their new Super BB cream which I'm currently obsessed with.
BB creams are very famous here in Asia. I love how it gives light coverage and enough glow in my skin. BB creams are known for having sheer to light coverage with moisturising factors and skin treatment that cover blemishes. It's a multitasking product that provides sun protection, moisturizes the skin, and some more skin care benefits. All in one in just 1 product!
The packaging is in a sleek metallic pink tube, which is very travel friendly. It provides enough product with its squeezable tube.
Product Description:
Maybelline's first advance BB cream has 8-in-1 benefits namely:
1. Perfectly covers the imperfection
2. Hides pores
3. All day wear
4. Blocks UV rays with SPF 50 PA++++
5. Protects skin from pollution
6. Brightens skin
7. Smoothes skin
8. Evens skintone
With its ultra-covering minerals, it claims to offer high yet refined coverage for a flawless bare skin look. It is formulated with Mineral Guard Filter which acts as a barrier and shields your face from dirt and pollution.
It has strong fruity scent which I like, but fades away after few seconds. The consistency is like a liquid foundation but much lighter and easy to blend. It does give more coverage than any other BB creams though, it didn't fully covered my redness around my face. You might need help from a concealer for those who have darker under eye problem. I say that it has up to medium coverage only. It feels lightweight and glides on my face smoothly.
It does a great job brightening my skin and it evens out my skintone. At first, I was afraid that the shade is a tad light for me but after I let it settle on my skin after a while, it does oxidize (like any other BB creams) and match my skintone perfectly. I like that my skin looks natural and at the same time, protected from the pollution and UV rays.
It does stay on for at least 8 hours on me with a little bit of shine by the end of the day. But for those who have oily/combination skin, I suggest to use blotting paper after few hours or set it with your favorite powder to make it last.
