Maybelline Clear Smooth BB SIlk Cake Powder

Happy Sunday everyone! How was your weekend? I was hoping I can spend it on the beach or some place cooler....*wishful thinking! :) *

Nowadays, our weather is very unforgiving. I'm sweating nonstop because of the heat. I don't want to put a lot of makeup products on my face during the day. For this summer season, my makeup routine is just pressed powder, concealer, a bit of blush and of course... some color on the lips! I just want it natural and fresh, just to feel FRESH! :)

I'm now using the Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Silk Cake Powder. I've been using this since last month and I'm glad that it didn't break me out or gave me any irritations on the face. I got this mainly because of the cute packaging: a pinkish violet sturdy case with a mirror inside and a sponge compartment under. 

 It has a white sponge included in the packaging for easy application. But I don't like the smell of their sponge, it has a strong plastic scent to it, though I washed it before I used the it, the smell is still there. It gives me headache! I just use my other sponges or puff for this. Powder brush isn't advisable to use because the powder is silk and so soft, it intends to waste a lot of products when you use the brush. 

   

They got 4 or 5 shades and I got their darkest, Honey, because the others seems so light for my skintone. 

The coverage is light to medium and blendable. I like how it settles on my skin but not on my fine lines especially around the eye area. It slightly covers my redness and evens my skin. It feels so soft on the face and doesn't feel heavy at all. 

This is very affordable, it costs only P329.00 at Watsons or any Beauty section department stores, or any Maybelline counters. 

I used "only" this on my face during this hot weather on top of my sunblock and moisturizer. For me, this is enough coverage I need during the day, I avoid liquid, cream or even BB creams for foundations. This is much easier to use and very convenient to pack on your handbag. Anyway, this is the time to be natural and fresh looking. And taking care of your skin is the number 1 step to have a fresh radiant looking skin, right! :)
